Testicular tumors account for only 1% of all neoplasms in males, yet it is the most common cancer in men aged 15-35 years. Cryptorchidism (lack of descent of the testicles) is a known risk factor. There are two main types of testicular cancer depending on the cells from which it originates: seminomatous and non-seminomatous. The most common sign is painless enlargement of one of the testicles. Initially, a testicular ultrasound and tumor markers in the blood must be performed to later perform surgery and determine the specific lineage of the tumor.
